drag race

When i was still a kid, I used to watch motocross competitions in Reclamation Area. The excitement that i used to feel then ignited when I watched the motorcycle drag race last night. It's frightening looking at those riders almost delivering themselves to death but 'twas cool at the same time. Saturday night could have been cooler since cars were racing but we were not able to catch it. Better luck next time!

pink motorcycle! how about that? :P

I was at a baby shower before i watched the drag race. Details on a separate post.

used cars

Oftentimes when we want to save on something we normally buy second hand goodies or stuff. Just because they are second had or used, it does not necessarily mean that they aren't as good as the new ones. If i have money, i personally would prefer buying used items if it is still as good and usable as the new one. I have a friend who just bought a second hand car. It's still perfect in performance. How about you? Would you like to buy a car at minimal cost? Take your pick at the array of used cars there is available online. BuyYourCar offers you the best price on second hand cars. You can just easily search for used car by models. You can also choose by latest offers, lowest price, highest price and distance category. They also give you list of most popular used cars available. You can make contact with the seller of the vehicle directly through them and for the motor traders, they can view the company profile of the seller. Know that BuyYourCar does not only let you find the best used car but they also help you sell your car at the most competitive rates.

baby showers

My clock is ticking... is it? LOL! Well, most of my female friends are either married, just delivered their babies or pregnant. I still have single friends but majority aren't. This weekend will be the baby shower for my friend Lenny. She's going to deliver a baby girl this coming July. Who knows the baby and I might share the same birthday? :) I'll post pictures of the party then.

medical bracelet

Medical bracelet? Sounds interesting right? We sure do all know bracelets as those cute accessories most women wear. Fashion bracelets are not new to anyone but medical bracelet? What is a medical bracelet anyway? It is a bracelet that shows a brief summary of medical information and care instructions. An access charm attached to the medical bracelet tells how to locate and view your online medical registry file. Meaning, in cases of emergencies, this will allow a medical caregiver to access your file. With this, they will be in a much better position to provide timely and appropriate care for you. The best thing is, even if you move, travel, change jobs, doctors or insurance policies, your file is not affected. It is completely portable, staying with you wherever you go. And as your personal medical information changes it can change too. Worried about your online medical registry? Do not worry because you will be in total control of it. These bracelets are not only fashionable, they are of great purpose as well.

hectic week

I never had a chance to check my mails these days. It's been a hectic week for me. On Tuesday and Wednesday, we had a whole day seminar at work. It was pretty a cool seminar on public speaking. It wasn't really about public speaking but about how to become an effective trainor. I learned a lot and i learned so much about grammar. I knew more about my weakness in talking. Hope i could apply all that i had learned.

HDPE

With global warming that our planet is facing today, each one of us has to contribute. I guess recycling is one of the things that we can do. Did you know that common recyclable plastic material such as food containers and milk bottles are made up of HDPE? HDPE means high density polyethylene. Polythylene is a lightweight thermoplastic used especially in packaging and insulation. Raw HDPE come in various forms such as HDPE granules, pellets, film, regrind or scrap. And you must know that there are lots of manufacturers and suppliers for HDPE and HDPE come in several different grades? Now this is really some piece of information.

sticky note?

One afternoon i was surprised to see a big note posted on my CPU. I thought it was a note at first glance as i was approaching my table. Nope it wasn't! It was a leave from one of my teammates. He could have just left it on top of my table or under the mouse pad. He said he wanted to make sure i get to see it and have it signed. Clever eh! :) Well, i sure have no excuse of not seeing it.

attention De La Hoya and Mayweather fans

I think i already mentioned before that i was never a boxing fan. I hate to watch two people punching each other leaving scarred faces. All the more that i couldn't understand why other people get too excited cheering while watching. I hate it when my father tuned the TV and never allow us to switch channels because he is all hooked to the boxing bout. All that changed when i unintentionally watched a bout between de la Hoya and Mayweather. I was like these two people can't be boxers! They're way too good looking to ruin their faces. But of course, real boxing fanatics would see the fight more than their faces but the action they bring. From then on, i was hooked to boxing. The latest news i read was a real suprise. I thought that was de la Hoya's last fight but dear fans, watch out! He's up again for a match with no other than Mayweather. It's going to be a sure hit and an adrenaline ticking fight. Be sure not to miss the event and book your De La Hoya/Mayweather tickets now! I can't wait to watch them on the ring again. I sure will have to watch this on TV. Who's going to win? Well, let's all wait and see.

i was in the hospital...

Yup! I was in the hospital last 3 weeks ago. I woke up to a severe stomachache thursday morning so I took antacids but i was never relieved. I decided to get myself a medical checkup. 'Twas my second attempt actually because i was in the OPD last time. I was dismissed because i was relieved when the doctor arrived - meaning the medicine took effect. Last March 13 was the real one. My stomache was impossibly hurting. I had to be admitted and went through some tests to include endoscopy and ultrasound. The endoscopy was not painful but uncomfortable. It lasted for about 3-5 minutes but it felt like forever! I was holding on to my dear life while the tube was inserted through my mouth down to the esophagus to see the insides of my intestines. I shed tears while it was done, really. Fortunately my intestines were fine but was full of acid. I can see the yellowish substance on the monitor. At least the doctor was a joker, helped ease my fear. And the nurses whom i thought were bitches at first were actually very very nice. They kept on calming me down. Turned out i was having reflux esophagitis and bile gastritis. Now i have to be careful of what i eat - avoid all sorts of vitamin Cs, citrus fruits, milk, etc. But because i also had an ultrasound of my whole abdomen, the doctors found out some crystals (i wish these crystals are saleable hehe) on both of my kidneys and a stone in my gallbladder which is non obstructing at present. Which means I have to be more extra careful in what i eat should i want not to be bugged by the stone! Avoid all fatty foods!!! Basically, I should be on a strict food diet now. Avoid all salty foods, etc, etc. It's an ordeal. I was discharged from the hospital Saturday afternoon after much convincing moments with the doctors because i was already bored. And eating "lugaw" in all of my meals was not either helping. See, i'm that stubborn. Soft diet, soft diet for at least a month but just when i arrived home - i ate rice! :P And what's the saddest part of all these? I can no longer eat my ever favorite mango fruit :(

Thanks to my friends who visited me in the hospital and for the well wishers. Special thanks to Macelle & Jona for processing my LOA.

Note: It was my first hospital admittance. First time mo? :D
