Hmnn yey! finally i wore something today that i have never tried putting on before. Not even once! The day is over and i made it! Yehey! What could that be? Secrettttt..... :D :P

health habits

Last March, as some of you may have know, I was hospitalized because one morning I woke up to a severe stomachache. I went through a lot of exams including endoscopy. Turned out, i was just having hyper acidity. But i was advised to eat healthy food to refrain from suffering stomach disorders again and again. Right now, i try much to choose what i eat and take some supplements that aids in colon cleanse and healthy digestion. It's never fun to stay in the hospital for days, i tell you.

really, i'm on a diet

Seriously, i'm on a strict diet right now! Ok, take away the word serious since i cheat sometimes. I really feel i'm getting bigger and bigger! I have to do something about it! I wanted to wear all those two-piece swimwear i have but i can't because my fats are overwhelming! Health wise, i'm way overweight for my height. I should not weigh more than 112 lbs but i am now 124lbs. I have to lose at least 12 lbs. Back in college, I only weigh from 103-108lbs. I have a poor eating habit and I don't exercise. I always think of food, food and food. What do I expect with that? So, some 20 days ago, I started my diet plan. Hopefully i will see the result in a month! I swear it's really difficult. I just don't go to the canteen anymore so I wouldn't be tempted to eat all those junks. On Sundays though, I pig out, it's my reward for eating good on weekdays. Simply put, just an excuse to cheat and eat to my heart and stomach's content! Phentermine is widely used to help obese patients to suppress hunger and lose weight. As for my case, i just eat healthy food.

cosmetic dentistry

Finally, this coming Tuesday is my last appointment with the dentist. Well I fervently hope it's the last one since I have been going to the clinic for a couple of times already for my root canal sessions. For our last session, I'll be having the permanent tooth pasta. The dentist told me last time that I should try the cosmetic dentistry for my front teeth. I was excited as this would surely improve the appearance of my teeth. I should try it especially that I've heard about charlotte cosmetic dentist that is known for cosmetic dentistry.

volleyball enthusiast

I just received an email from a colleague that they are inviting all female associates who are volleyball enthusiasts to join the tryout. Whoever will be selected will form the company's volleyball women's team for the MEPZ sports fest 2008. I was never a volleyball enthusiast. I do watch some volleyball match as some of my friends are volleyball players. None in my family is athletic. We don't have trophies at home that could be accounted for achievements in sports. Well, some of us just excel in different fields.

early birthday gift?

craving for italian cuisine?

One of my favorite cuisines is Italian. I just can't get enough of it. Every now and then i always think of eating Italian food. On my side of this planet, Italian restaurants aren't that many so it is always a luxury to be able to eat in a cozy Italian restaurant that serves authentic home style Italian food. For the last couple of weeks, me and my friends decided to have a food trip every other weekend. Of course, i make it a point that we get to it some Italian food. I did post some pictures, just look it up in my blog archives. Variation of style is always interesting right? So what do you say if I say we eat some great Italian food in a place with Mediterranean setting? Yes, we sure can! Try La Jolla restaurants and get to enjoy their food while overlooking a beautiful La Jolla Cove. Oh, this seems romantic. I should find a date!

baby names

My friend and colleague, Lenny, just gave birth to her first baby. We were all excited then the moment we found out that she's going to have a baby girl. We were suggesting a lot of names until finally she and her husband agreed to name the baby Samantha. I have always been fascinated on how some parents can uniquely and creatively come up with baby names. As for my case, i'm a bit frustrated because my parents just gave me a four-letter name. Some would combine the father and mother's name while some would name their baby from the grandparent's name. I know of some people whose names are derived from famous celebrities. If you are one of those expecting parents who don't have a clue yet, check out this celebrity names of babies and you might as well just be able to pick out the nicest of names in the world. Now, i realized, it's a tricky job picking for baby names huh. My mind changes everyday but i have always wanted that my future baby girl's name will have a Marie on it.

organizational changes

Change is inevitable in almost every aspect of our lives. Just like at my work, there has been major changes in the organizational structure of employees. The change is global as we were told so it is for sure that we will be managed by a new senior manager as well. This might bring a lot of changes to the department maybe - different folks have different strokes as they say. This new manager might have his own style of managing and implementing tasks. Though we will change management, we will still be using the same technology and suppliers for our electronic modules. The microprocessors we usually use are from Motorola. Speaking of which, i just heard that they have a new executive vice president for Integrated Electronic Systems Sector division in the person of Dennis Carey. I'm quite curious about this guy. Let me read more so I would know about his previous jobs and achievements and why has he moved working for another company.

things to do before turning hmmnnn :P

I'm sure i made a list for this before but i'm just not so sure where i placed it. Now, my birthday is coming in the next few days and i'm just too lazy to write another one. Recalling, i think i accomplished half of it. Should be great if i'd be able to do all that i've listed but it's just rather too wishful thinking...

state of quandary is over

Exactly a month ago, i should be in Manila already but here i am still in good old Cebu.

Early on this year, i hurdled a very serious predicament in my life. I'd like to believe i'm over it right now - at least on the specific aspect of it.

January - i had a job interview for a Manila based company (headquarter's in Germany) here in Cebu and received the job offer in March. I was certain i wanted the job. It's going to be the same job that i currently do but I was so sure i wanted a new environment. But i wasn't ready to move out so I asked for a leeway. I said i'd join them in June. I was lucky to have given the chance and they waited for me. For the past 3 months, it wasn't a very easy task for me. I weighed each day and night whether joining them would be good or not. It was an ordeal, really. To some, it may just come easy to decide but i have lived my whole life in Cebu and it's going to be a complete turn around leaving. I have my family here (parents and sisters) and right now, i'm not certain if they can stand on their own. I have always been the wage earner and i have always been the one to decide on everything. Sure, i can still help them even when i'm away but i have always been the helpline 24/7. I know i'd have to leave them eventually but it's not yet the time. There ain't a perfect time for it but there will come a time.

I sought advise and thought things over and over again. I needed to make a choice sooner. I had everything ready, my pre employment requirements were all done. Then again, i wasn't ready emotionally. So, I made a choice. Well, you obviously can guess what my choice was.

Many said i made the right decision. Many friends were happy that i'm staying. I do know too that because of my decision, i have wronged other people. So, i'd have to say sorry for the disappointments and frustrations and troubles perhaps that i caused. But know that i truly am thankful for the opportunity.

I will always be now the girl who wonders what could have been her life there? My only consolation would be that whatever my choice could have been, it will always spell risk and unpromised future. Is staying goor or bad? I don't know... i don't want to think about it. I'm just happy i'm half way over this dilemma.

michelle's getting married today!

Michelle is a former colleague who now resides in Canada. She is one of the few people i look up to. Intelligent, good natured, pretty and very down to earth. Today, July 4, she'll tie the knot to the man of her life. I'm so happy for her! :) With that being said, the pressure i impose on myself is very high! Why? Riza, also a former colleague (now living in Michigan) is about to become a mother. Riza and Michelle are my two "tamdanans" (sort of measuring device) that by the time they get married, i should be getting married by then too. Hmnn i still have a few years to work on it! LOL! :P Geez, help me God! LOL!
