boring weekend

typhoon season

Work was suspended last Monday at 5:00pm due to the storm/typhoon. The whole area of MEPZ 2 was already flooded. I was all wet when i came in to the office because the rain was so heavy and the taxi driver wouldn't drop me off near the company gate. I should have gone home at 5:00 but i had an urgent workload to attend to so i went home at around 9:00 already. The work suspension was futile for my case. 82nd monthsary

I really don't know if there's such a word as monthsary! Whichever the case is, yesterday, Nov 22 commemorates (naks!) my 82nd monthsary with L*** Corporation. So as my friend Lenny since we were hired on the same date. Geezzz, two more months and i'm working on my 7th year! (ang tagal non!) my pink fairy

Just posting something cute! :) Last October 13 was Nanette's wedding. Nanette is one of my close friends from college. She married her boyfriend of 6 years, also my batchmate. Their mottiff is pink. I teased Nanette that she stole my color, pink is my color! Anyways, the wedding went smoothly and she looked beautiful in her gown. I wish her all the best in her married life... who's gonna be the next bride?

Reality shows on tv is very common now a days. Before, I saw a group of diva wannabees in a singing contest and as part of the requirement before one can join, they ought to undergo a plastic surgery. Then, there's this another reality show that an ugly duckling turns into a beautiful swan after a plastic surgery. For me, it's kind of scary. Well, in the first place I'm afraid of needles, all the more surgery? But on second thoughts, if it is what makes someone become a better person, why not? I think it's just a matter of choosing the best practitioner. I have a friend in New Jersey who is studying to become a doctor. Maybe one day, she'll become one of the best New Jersey plastic surgery specialist.

Our company wide christmas party is soon to happen. Of course you know that December is just around the corner and you can definitely smell the spirit of Christmas already. The contests for this year are Santa Claus making and presentation of international dances during the party. Our department will present a dance number inspired by Spain. We don't have enough resources as of yet so we are asking help and donations from our colleagues who are currently on offshore assignments. I know they are more than willing to help. bohol

Have I told you that i went to Bohol last month. It was my second time and of course it was fun like the first time i went there. I was with old friends and some new friends. It was really a nice and memorable weekend. After viewing all the photos that we had, i noticed that i had a few poses with these two stinkers! Arrggh! :P

If I have one particular part of my body that i want to be changed, it has to be my nose. Ok, really, I don't have that perfect nose. The last time i went to my parent's hometown in the province was when i was only 10 years old. During summer vacations, it would always excite me to know that i'll be seeing them. I am regretful but I could not turn back time.

Right now, Tatay (my father's father) is with us in the city. Nanay (my father's mother) passed away 3 years ago. He's kinda old already but still can manage to walk around like a pro. Luckily, he's not suffering from any ailment. It's good that he has a lot of granchildren who can look after him. I know for a fact however that some family members cannot take care of their old folks. In as much as they want to, they cannot. So, they seek refuge from nursing homes and houses for the aged.
